240 Lake Drive, East Hampton
Lake Drive in East Hampton is the site of MHFH’s 18th House Build. The land was generously donated to MHFH after a previous house was demolished due to its state of disrepair. Construction commenced in October 2022 and was successfully completed in June 2023. This compact, single-story, four-bedroom, two-bathroom house adheres to Energy Star standards, boasting energy-efficient features such as effective insulation, efficient heating equipment, Energy Star-qualified lighting and appliances, and a roof positioned to facilitate potential installation of solar panels
171 Hubbard Street, Middlefield
Middlesex Habitat for Humanity (MHFH) purchased 171 Hubbard Street, a house in desperate need of renovation, from the town of Middlefield, in June of 2020. Renovations began in the fall of 2020 and were completed in April of 2022.
Curtis Weybright, Middlesex Habitat for Humanity (MHFH) Construction Manager, led the renovation of the three-bedroom house. MHFH transformed the house by lowering utilities and maintenance costs, while increasing the efficiency and durability of the home. The house was renovated to meet ENERGY STAR standards by using energy-efficient features, such as insulation, heating equipment, and qualified lighting and appliances.
The Middlefield House Renovation was our second Veteran Build.
382 N Hammock Rd, Westbrook
Middlesex Habitat purchased the property on N Hammock Road, in November 2019 and construction began in April 2020.
The compact, single-story, three-bedroom house was constructed to meet Energy Star standards with more insulation than required by code and a roof orientated to allow future installation of solar panels.
