150 Julia Terrace
The Julia Terrace house was donated to Middlesex Habitat for Humanity in the Summer of 2016, by a family who wanted to make an impact in the life of another family.
Curtis Weybright, Middlesex Habitat for Humanity (MHFH) Construction Manager, led the renovation of the four-bedroom house. MHFH was committed to transforming the house by lowering utilities and maintenance costs while increasing the efficiency and durability of the home. The house was renovated to meet ENERGY STAR standards by using energy-efficient features, such as effective insulation, efficient heating equipment, and ENERGY STAR-qualified lighting and appliances.
In February 2017, Julia Terrace became home to the Stefurak’s—Michelle, Jordan, Erik, Brandan, Mea, and Kyle.
As partners with Middlesex Habitat, the homeowners participated in the construction of their home, completing over 600 hours of “sweat equity” in construction and with other Habitat for Humanity activities.
The house design was developed with the assistance from Jessica Fazzino, Manager, Shagbark Kitchen & Bath Design, Michael Kilkelly, Principal, Architect, Design Technologist, Space Command, Josh Dobbs-McAuliffe, Engineer, GNCB Consulting Engineers P.C.
